A little while ago 505 games offered us a wonderful opportunity to check out some the new games they are working on. One such game is Adr1ft a suspense thriller based in space.
Are you afraid of being alone? Imagine waking up on a deserted space station just floating and losing oxygen fast. Inhabiting the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) suit, struggling to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment in an attempt to repair the damaged emergency escape vehicle and return home safely.
Thanks to 505 games we were able to play the demo on a massive movie screen and on the amazing Oculus rift.The astonishing graphics and physics that were implemented into the game really stick out to me. Every movement is very life like and very dangerous. You loose oxygen every second so you have to keep moving,its a high risk high reward when it comes to the game play.
Its a definite buy if your into survival games, its not competitive and if you wanna know how its feels to an astronaut with out the real life risk of floating off into the sun and being burned alive.
